Oh no, I'm Running a Fever!!

A usual day when Mummy dropped Kaelyn at school first before heading to work. Teacher called to say Kaelyn is running a fever at 38.5 degree. Every 4 hours, mummy faithfully fed Kaelyn with Paracetamol but the degree remains around 38.5 degree.

Mummy not only missed work but also a gathering with my friends! Sorry my dear friends.. an unexpected turn of event!!

The next morning, her fever shot up to 40.5 degree. We quickly brought her to KKH emergency. Doctor tested some minor infection in her blood. Only her own immune system can fight the infection. Hence, we went home with only paracetamol and Ibuprofen.

Little Darling, please get well soon for your birthday party ok.

Kids-In-Charge: Play @ Work

Kaelyn's school has invited all the parents to attend this program - Kids-In-Charge: Play @ Work. Teachers introduced how games can help children to learn and the examples put forward to us are the Alligator's Swamp Game and Animal's Wheel Game.

The Alligator's Swamp Game
I must say they are quite creative. Other than the soft toy alligator, teacher use green army socks and sew eyes on it to represent alligators. The white glove stuff with cotton to represent monkeys. Children are tasked to save the monkeys without disturbing the alligators. They learnt to walk forward, cross over, walk sideways and backwards to complete the task.

Animal's Wheel Game
There are 3 animals on the wheel - rabbit, fish and bird. Children get to pick the animal by turning the wheel, wear the selected animal headgear and then mimic the animal sound. They also get to fix the puzzle of the animals.

Botanic Gardens Jacob Ballas Children's Garden

We finally decided to visit the Jacob Ballas Children's Garden. Mummy wanted to visit this place for the longest time.

This garden is dedicated to children and adults. There are lots of things to discover and explore. We saw a lot of expats allowing their children to play and explore while they relax and chat at a side. How nice!

Kaelyn had loads of fun here and we are definitely coming here again.

Act 3 Trial Lesson

Act 3 is giving a free trial lesson for speech & drama lesson for Kaelyn. Why not? Let's go...

Kaelyn was clinging onto me when we walked in. Luckily she started to warm up shortly. Lesson started with a quick warm-up and then follow by a story telling session about finding rice at Thailand. After which, we had singing session and pretend play. It was quite fun and educational as the whole 1 hour was inter-related.. about rice, scarecrow, etc.

See some shots taken while in class:

Visit to Chinese Gardens

I can't remember when was the last time daddy & mummy visited the Chinese Gardens. Anyway, the bridge and the pagoda are still there so I believe not much change in landscape. Hahaha..

This year’s Lantern Fantasy at Chinese Garden features the ever-lovable Hello Kitty and friends. See how nice the Sanrio giantic lanterns are:

Counting & Singing

Mummy recorded this secretly when Kaelyn was counting and singing by herself. Can tell what song she is singing?

Some hints here abt the song:

...pi..grey...know..dear..u..take..away.. Yeah!
Counting in English
...shine..shine..pi..grey..know.. dear..u..take (take).. away
Counting in Chinese

As usual, when she count in English, no. 7 is always left out. And when counting in Chinese, no. 4 is left out. Some months ago, no. 1 was left out. Hopefully sooner, these 2 numbers will rejoin the "family".

I like Piano

Kaelyn got very excited when she entered Yamaha School. Running around and try out all the piano. Threw a tantrum when we had to leave. She haven't had enough playing the piano... hahaha..

See Kaelyn playing piano and making funny faces.
