Day trip to Hello Kitty Land at JB (20 Jun)

We drove up to the Hello Kitty Land at JB on a Thursday.  The ride was smooth with just a slight delay at the Malaysia customs.  There were ample signage along the way so drivers shouldn't worry that they may be lost along the way.  Keep following the sign that guide you to Puteri Harbour and you are on the right track.

It is about another 10 mins drive from LEGOLAND and it is like a mall with restaurants and shops around/inside the Club.  The ground level is the ticketing counters, a Hello Kitty café and a souvenir shop.  After you buy the tickets, you can proceed to the respective floors.  The floor above the ground level is call the first floor where Hello Kitty Town is.  There are 2 activity rooms which are mainly for girls - decorate cookie, nail art, jewellery making and play dress up.

Mini-cup ride, playground, jewellery making, cookie decoration ... yums...

Hello Kitty's House... Its so big & nice... love her furnitures

We love the bath tub..

Hello Kitty Nail salon... Oh my goodness, mummy's nails....

There are many shops next to Hello Kitty Land but many aren't opened yet.  There's Toy R us, Shihlin Taiwan Street Snack, crepe shop, pharmacy, Traders' Hotel and Lat's Restaurant.  All within 1 minute walking distance.  In the end, we choose to dine at Lat's Restaurant so as to avoid the haze.

After lunch, we went back to explore Level 2 which is the Little Big Club.  There we saw Angelina Ballerina's dance studio, Barney's playground, Bob the builder's indoor playground, Pingu's house and Barney's stage performance.  Oh, there's a restaurant at this level too.

The 3rd floor which is the last floor is the Thomas & Friends level.  This floor is mainly rides and a big playground for kids to crawl around.  The rides are ferries wheel, flying aeroplane, bumper car and Thomas The Train train ride.  Oh, there's yet another restaurant on this level.

We thought we could cover this tiny place within 4-5 hours but Kaelyn wanted to try everything.  We literally covered the whole 3 levels from 11 am - 6 pm.  It was quite fun actually and do choose to go there during weekday as the queue will be shorter.
Choo.. chooo.. we're on the Thomas the Train

Aren't we cute?  hahah...

11-12 June Holiday Activity - Ice Skating at Kallang Ice Skating Rink

Mum has paid $150 for Kaelyn to attend a 2 day ice skating camp at Kallang Ice Skating Rink.  Its 2 x 2 hour lesson follow by 1 hour free play.  First hour was teaching them the basic step of ice skating, eg. how to walk, skate, back skate, open-close style and pick themselves up. The 2nd hour was to let them play games with their friends.  Other than having sore legs, she had loads of fun!!

Jun Holiday - KL 7-9 Jun (Day 2 & 3)

Our plan was to buy the 2-way bus tickets to Genting Highlands but because it is the school holidays and we are heading there on a Sat, the desired timing to Genting were sold out.  So we had to pay more to take a taxi there instead.  Upon reaching the cable car station, we quickly buy the return bus ticket.  The best timing is 5 pm departure time .. no choice but to take this timing.

Here we come Genting!

Awesome view

Bought the all parks tickets for all 3 of us but realised its not worth it as we are there only about 5-6 hours and most of the rides are taken by Kaelyn only.  Realised Genting has stricter conditions - children must have a minimum of 122 in height so she can't take most of the rides including bumper car.

Flying with the Dragon

Her favourite ride..

Our Genting trip was dampened by showers in the afternoon so we didn't play a lot of outdoor rides.  Next time we should just stay there for 2 nights and play to our hearts content.

Our last day at KL was to do some last minute shopping at Bukit Bintang before we board the Aerobus back to KLIA airport.

Jun Holiday - KL 7-9 Jun (Day 1)

This Jun holiday, Daddy & Mummy only have 3 common days free for holiday so we can only go somewhere near and so KL is the choice destination.  We found quite a good deal from Expedia website which include return flight tickets via Air Asia and 2 night stay at Berjaya Times Square.  The total cost works out to be S$527 net.  Upon reaching KLIA Airport, we hopped onto the Aerobus.  Though we bought a later bus ticket but as long as there's empty seats, feel free to get in the earlier bus. The bus ride took about 1 hour to KL Sentral.. ride was smooth and safe.  From KL Sentral, we walk to the monorail station and took the monorail to Imbi station where the hotel is.  We were early but was given the keys to our room in no time... they gave us the unit on the highest floor at Level 43 in a somewhat like a junior suite.  Quite comfortable indeed!

View from our room

We quickly settled into the hotel room and took a train to Kidzania. There is suppose to be a free shuttle bus to IPC shopping mall which is next to Kidzania but we missed the shuttle and the next one is 1 hour later so no choice we have to hail a cab from the Kelana Jaya LRT station.  Can you see the aeroplane sticking out of the building?  Yes, that is where the pilot section is.  Kidzania, here we come!

My dear girl's first station is to work as a construction worker... hahah.. look at her.. funny girl.  Very happy to earn some Kidzania money after the short stint.

Next she choose to work again.. this time as a Police Officer!

Officers are out patrolling the streets of Kidzania

Caught a criminal.. hahah..

Money face girl wants more money so she choose to work at a fast food restaurant, Mary Brown, making burgers

Preparing to be a pilot.  Kaelyn say this is very fun.. not to be missed!
Too bad, parents are not allowed to go in so this is one precious photo taken from afar

Next she transformed into a nurse of the delivery ward.  Missy is taking care of newborn - bathing, drying up, putting cream, taking baby's weight and then feeding the baby.  Very fun for Missy Kaelyn too!

See Missy in action!

She finally wants to spend some Kidzania money to pamper herself so she goes into the nail spa for nail service.

Final station, we went to the Ayam Pizza station.  Made some Ayam brand tuna pizza.

We went on a Fri and its Malaysia's school holidays too so there were long queues everywhere.  Here are other interesting stations which we have missed.

Dentist & Surgery departments

Suggest if you are going to Kidzania, go and queue for the fire fighter station first.  Its too fun to miss..  Kids get to be driven on the fire engine and put out fire..

There are many other stations... too many photos to show!
