Sooner than expected, my little Kaelyn has grown up so quickly..we will be registering her for Primary 1 in June this year and she will be P1 in Jan 2013.
That is the biggest dilemma which Daddy & Mummy had for the last few months.
We are only moving house in 2014 and so which school is she going to attend? If it is somewhere near existing house, it will be best for us as parents as there'll be minimal logistical issue to consider. But come 2014 after we moved, Kaelyn will need to transfer to a school near Sengkang. Her friendship built over the year will be gone and knowing her slowness to warm up to people and environment, it will be very disruptive to get use to the new environment and making new friends.
Daddy & Mummy has talked this through and considered our options carefully. The conclusion is we will not change her school even if we move house so the school has to be near to our new house then. From 2013 to 2014, it will be quite painful and tiring for all of us as we have to wake up earlier than expected, be it to drive her to school if hers is a morning class or before school care.
Daddy & Mummy have clocked in only 20 over hours as parent volunteers at the Hokkien Huay Kuan. Minimally we need to clock 40 hrs but we are still hoping that the Huay Kuan will issue us the recommendation letter. If that happens, Nan Chiau Pri Sch shall be our first choice. If not, then we will consider the following schools which is within 1km from our new house:
1) CHIJ Our Lady of the Navity
2) Punggol Primary School
3) North Vista Primary School
